Faces of HIV

Florida Department of Health | Activation + Multi-Media + Experiential
Inaccurate perceptions about HIV have been perpetuated by a long list of stereotypes. HIV is seen by some as a disease that only happens to other people—a stereotype that makes people think they’re safe, that they don’t need to get tested. Our challenge: raise awareness that anyone can get HIV.

Those affected with HIV are human beings, not statistics.
We brought this truth to life through vivid close-up portraits.

The portraits were featured in a moving art gallery, which traveled to major, high-traffic cities throughout Florida.

You can also delve into all the portraits, journal excerpts and full video interviews on the Florida Department of Health's website.

We reached out to the masses through collateral and out-of-home, ultimately creating a multi-media appeal to see the human truth behind HIV.
