The Humor Collection

Here lies a collection of humorous things. We start with some funny creations I made for various brands. We finish with other adventures of mine in the world of humor, like writing for The Onion and publishing a book of absurdist essays.

Apex Pest Control

Radio + OOH | 🏆 Radio-Mercury Award Finalist 🏆
This irreverent work not only got people talking about the creative, but also—most importantly—got results for the client.

Comcast | Xfinity TV

Campaign
This launched at a time when watching live TV without cable could be tough, leaving you susceptible to spoilers. With Stream TV, you could watch live TV on any device, sans cable. We highlighted the benefits, and generated affinity for a brand decidedly lacking in it.

HomeBrew Den

Radio | 🏆 National Addy Awards 🏆
HomeBrew Den didn’t have a lot of money, so it was important that the work broke through and got people talking. We created these radio spots. They’re short, completely irreverent—and they definitely got people talking.

Soprano’s Ristorante & Pizzeria

Poster Campaign
A fun, little poster run for a local favorite.

Planet Fitness

Integrated Campaign

iRobot

Social
An April Fool’s post. Why this is not actually a thing is beyond me.

The Onion

News | Print & Digital
I wrote for The Onion for a little while. Below is a line I wrote for The Onion Magazine. It appeared, of course, in the paper and online. But it also appeared in their book of collected Onion Magazine covers, as seen below. Zork geeks rejoice.

Huckster: An Unnecessary Collection of Essays
on the Advertising Industry

Published Book
I’ve published a book of humorous essays on advertising. The essays were originally published by Pank Magazine—a wonderful literary journal that was, at the time, under the editorship of the great Roxane Gay.

Doctors Etcetera

Satirical Website
A site that I founded—and served as Editor in Chief—that puts a satirical spin on the online medical world, filled with incompetent doctors, satirical health and wellness news, and ridiculous takes on common, and not so common, diseases. The site no longer exists, having died of dysentery.
